Ambit supports the region and its international partners through sustainable solutions with a regional mindset

Strategic Analytical Services

Through original research rooted in thought leadership and data-driven insights, Ambit’s strategic analytical services leverage its in-depth regional knowledge and ability to contextualize risk.

This provides distinctive identification of political, operational, and strategic issues impacting international support programs and regional-led security and developmental efforts, and includes the identification of invisible and often overlooked risks.

Strategic Analytical Services include the following:

  • Insights on emerging, frontier and complex risks
  • Risk mapping, forecasting, and management
  • Regional, national, organizational, or industry level analysis

Strategy Assessment

Ambits strategy assessment service provides assessment and testing of developed strategies, identifies the obstacles to their implementation and explores their potential consequences. Strategies and objectives for security and development targets are often the result of discussions set in rigid processes with limited participation, and set outside the region in the case of international assistance to the Middle East.

Developed strategies can at times fall short of exacting real and sustainable change while in other instances, they can result in unintended consequences that actually exacerbate the issues that they set out to resolve. Ambit offers different perspectives on the capacity of strategies under development to influence change by critically evaluating preconceived assumptions, and by incubating nascent strategic ideas into concrete and attainable objectives.

Strategy Assessment includes the following:

  • Strategy review and assessment
  • System Audits
  • Stress testing

Strategy and Ecosystem Design

Ambit Strategy and Ecosystem Design services provides a holistic approach to strategy development that explores the different interactions and perspectives required for effectively navigating the complex landscape of collaborative regional engagements. Factors such as resources, know-how, and the capacity of the management or implementation team are necessary, but altogether insufficient, if not paired with the right strategy.

A broader ecosystem approach, which employs shaping strategies that take into consideration the communication channels, partners, and inextricably linked network of activities and interventions, is a unique lens that rethinks the conventional methods for regional interventions. This equips the international community with the tools needed to overcome narrowly focused approaches that do not address the root cause of the problem space, and to become agents of change that create sustainable impact for their stakeholders.

Strategy and Ecosystem Design includes the following:

  • Systems Blueprint
  • Regional, national, organizational, or project-level engagement strategy development
  • Impact and sustainability roadmap

Project Support

Ambit’s project support services develop actionable project implementation plans that take into consideration the realities on the ground, including the capacities and capabilities of intended target audiences to meet a project’s aims and requirements. This may also entail the identification and outreach to regional stakeholders to communicate project objectives, and ensure that there is a baseline understanding of these objectives, the required commitment of resources, and any potential consequences or knock-on effects.

At a more granular level, Ambit can advise with respect to the selection of the implementation team, or their suitability to effectively mobilize their own and their partnersresources toward realizing a projects aims – this may also include providing tailored training to implementers in accordance with the projects respective country or industry of operations. To fulfill the full cycle of activities required for project implementation from development to execution, Ambit can provide the required resources, in part or fully, to see these objectives through to fruition.
